About Dr Belle Damodara Shenoy

Dr Belle Damodara Shenoy is a mycologist and Scientist F at the CSIR–National Institute of Oceanography, Regional Centre, Visakhapatnam, India.

His research interests span fungal diversity, taxonomy, molecular phylogenetics, and DNA barcoding. He is particularly interested in understanding fungal biodiversity, identifying and classifying fungi, and exploring their evolutionary relationships through traditional and molecular approaches.

Beyond research, he is actively engaged in scientific publishing, academic mentoring, and capacity building. As Managing Editor of MycoAsia – Journal of Modern Mycology, he contributes to promoting mycological research, scientific communication, and collaboration within the research community.

He is equally committed to sharing scientific knowledge and supporting students and early-career researchers through training programmes, workshops, and academic interactions.
